About this event

How might we work toward the just futures our communities need, within the inequitable reality of the present? Over a series of 3 engaging sessions in 2024, participants in this series will apply the problem-solving methods of design thinking to work toward justice and learn how the social, environmental and political histories of place can inform practices of public health for equity.

Each session is 12:00 -1:30 CST:

Part 1: Wednesday, January 24: Introduce participants to design thinking and design justice.

Part 2: Wednesday, February 28: Deepen learning about design thinking and design justice, and its applications in health equity work, within but not limited to the New Orleans context.

Part 3: Wednesday, March 27: Practice applying design thinking for design justice in a theoretical exercise considering real-world places and people.
